About the Sing and Things to Know Gospel in the Park Concert Series Are you or your group interested in singing in the park? We'd love to have you! The Gospel in the Park Concert series was created by Rick Barcus, an avid lover, and promoter of Southern Gospel music, who served faithfully as Pastor of Addison FWB Church for over 35 years. This concert series was created to bring people from Gallia County and the surrounding areas together on Friday summer nights for gospel music and fellowship in the beautiful Gallipolis City Park. Pulling from local and professional contacts, we've had groups such as the Detty Sisters, Bloodbought, Randy Shafer, New Southern Harmony, Dustin Lambert, Covered by Love, Scott Frasier, and many more. Scroll below for more information. CONTACT FORM Things to Know Equipment The Gospel in the Park Concert Series does not currently have our own equipment. Groups are paired together with at least one group that is able to bring equipment. Thank you to all who have shared in the past! The Sing starts at 7:00 pm, equipment can be set up at 6:00 pm or later the day of the sing. Weather and Cancelations Gospel in the Park is an outdoor event, because of this, the sing is subject to weather cancelations. We will try to give as much notice of cancellations as possible, especially if your group has a long way to travel! Please let us know if you need more time, but we try to make the call by 4:00 pm the day of the sing. Love Offering and Merchandise As a local sing, groups are not paid. We do take up a love offering during the sing, and the offering will be split among the groups. You are welcome to set up a table if you have CDs, promotional information, etc.! It's a great opportunity to meet pastors and make church connections to help further your ministry and share the Gospel. Our Mission Statement Addison Freewill Baptist Church is a family of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ committed to sharing the gospel, treasuring the word of God, and ministering to our community through evangelism, education, and community outreach both in person and through digital platforms. What We Believe We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. We Believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God and is our ultimate source of truth. We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, trustworthy and true, without error, Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17). We believe there is only one God who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19). We believe Jesus Christ is God, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His death that paid for our sin through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension/rising up to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory. (John 1:1; Matthew 1:18,25; Hebrews 4:15; Hebrews 9:15-22; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Acts 1:9-11; Hebrews 9:27-28). We believe that man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be eternally in union with him is eternal life. Heaven and hell are places of eternal existence. (John 3:16; 1 John 2:25; 1 John 5:11-13; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15; Matthew 25:31-46).

Harmony Quarterly Conference The Harmony Quarterly Meeting of the Free Will Baptist Churches, referred to as the Harmony Quarterly Conference, was established in ____. Since that time, the Harmony Conference has been made up of many churches dedicated to loving God, loving others, and providing support, communion, and ordination to pastors and deacons. We are currently looking for new churches to join the conference! If you are a pastor or church leader and would like to talk to us about joining, we'd love to hear from you! CONTACT US Mission The purpose of this organization is to forward the gospel, forward the teaching of God's word both at home and abroad, and to provide protection and assistance to all churches desiring to unite in this compact and comply to the original Free Will Baptist doctrine; and still exercise the right of independent or self-government. We promise by His grace to love and obey Him in all things, to avoid all appreance of evil, to abstain from all sinful amusements and unholy conformity to the world, to abstain from all sanction of the sale or use of intoxicating beverages, adn to "provide things honest in the sight of all men." We agree faithfully to discharge our obligations in reference to the study of the scriptures, secret prayer, family devotions, and public worship; and by self denial, faith, and good works endevor to "grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." We will not forsake the assembling of ourselves together for church conferences, public worship, and the observance of the ordinaces of the gospel; nor fail to give according to our ability for the support of the church and all its benevolent work. We agree to accept Christian admonition adn reproof with meekness and to watch voer one another in love, endeavoring to "keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace," to be careful of one anothers happiness and reputation, adn to seek to strengthen the weak, encoruage the afflicted, admonish teh erring, adn as far as we are able, promote the sucess of the church and of the gospel. We will everywhere hold Christian principles and obligations supreme, esteem it our chief business to make Christ known to the world, adn constantly pray and toil that the kingdom of God may come adn His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. To this end we agree to cooperate in the promotion of deminational instutions and enterprises, the support of the work of the local church, and the evangelization of the world. CONTACT US Articles of Faith THE BIBLE The scriptures of the old and new testaments were given by inspiration of God, and are our infallible rule of faith and practice. GOD There is one living and true God, revealed in nature as the Creator, Preserver, and Righteous Governor of the Universe; and in the scriptures as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; yet as one God, infinitely wise and good, whom all intelligent creatures are to supremely love, adore, and obey. CHRIST Christ is God manifest in the flesh, who came to earth both fully man and fully God. The mediator between God and man, once crucified, He is now risen and glorified, and is our ever present Saviour and Lord. THE HOLY SPIRIT The scriptures assign to the Holy Spirit all the attributes of God. THE GOVERNMENT OF GOD God exercises a wise and benevolent providence over all beings and all things by maintaining the constitution and laws of nature. He also performs special acts, not otherwise provided for, as the highest welfare of men requires. THE SINFULNESS OF MAN Man was created innocent, but by disobedience, fell into a state of sin and condemnation. His posterity, therefore, inherit a fallen nature of such tendencies that all who came to the years of accountability, sin and become guilty before God. THE WORK OF CHRIST The Son of God by His incarnation, life, sufferings, death, and resurrection effected for all a redemption from sin that is full and free, and is the ground of salvation by faith. THE TERMS OF SALVATION The conditions of salvation are: Repentance of sincere sorrow for sin and hearty renunciation of it. Faith, or the unreserved committal of one's self to Christ as Savior and Lord with purpose to love and obey Him in all things. In the exercise of saving faith, the soul is renewed by the HOly Spirit, freed from the dominion of sin, and becomes a child of God. Continuance in faith and obedience until death. ELECTION God determined from the beginning to save all who should comply with the conditions of salvation. Hence by faith in Christ men become His elect. FREEDOM OF THE WILL The human will is free and self-controlled, having the power to yield to the influence of the truth and the Spirit, or to resist them and perish. SALVATION FREE God desires the salvation of all, the gospel invites all, the Holy Spirit strives with all, and whosoever will may come and take of the water of life freely. Perserverance God determined from the beginning to save all who should comply with the conditions of salvation. Hence by faith in Christ men become His elect.

But the best evidence that the Bible can be trusted is the countless changed lives of people who have put their trust in Jesus Christ.
